YAY!! I Finished my Portable Root Cellar

 First I took a Rubbermaid Storage bin and filled the base with water, Then Lined Paper Over It and saturated the paper with water.

Then I shredded a weeks worth of Papers in it, adding moisture as I went

Then I added all my veggies, Onions, Carrots, Potatoes Etc

Then I covered them all up with even More Paper and some water Closed the lid. Put the Bin On the front Porch and Covered it with a nice thick blanket..

The reason we decided to go with a root cellar is mainly to free up more space in our fridge and cabinets, With Stockpiling  space is at a premium and finding innovative ways to store items is ALWAYS a Good Thing!
